This shot was taken from the River Thames late one very cold afternoon in the winter of 2012.
Low temperatures are good for photographing steam and smoke especially when they are back-lit.
What interested me was the reflected light off of the windows of the tower block and the older buildings next to the river.
Simple pictures tend to work best when impact is required.
This shot was very straight forward to post-process just a square crop, an increase in over-all contrast, slight lightening to the tower block windows and removal of a few bright highlights in the black base.
I will be announcing the dates for my Masterclasses, Workshops and Courses for the first half of 2106 shortly – keep a look out.
Don’t forget to visit my website that has new updated galleries here

Wonderful shot , full of interest and, for me, a mysterious sense of foreboding.
