It’s all about the light

This shot was taken from the River Thames late one very cold afternoon in the winter of 2012. Low temperatures are good for photographing steam and smoke especially when they are back-lit. FOTO Alpujarras Workshop

Newport Photographic Club

I am off to Newport to do a print only talk tonight called “Marvelous Monochrome”. For those of you who look at this picture full size which I recommend, you are not looking at camera noise but film grain put in to the mid tones and shadows with Silver Efex Pro 2. A lighter camera bag – 5

Any new camera takes a little getting used to. This is certainly been true with the Fujifilm X-T1, I did say in my last post I was thinking of sending the camera back because I was unhappy with the way which it did or did not do things.
