Crystalight 2012 asked about the finished picture and the original image brightness as taken in the camera.
So provided here is the finished picture and the as shot picture just with the basic conversion to black-and-white without any other adjustments as seen below.
A big hello to all the new followers on my little blog this week.

Wow! Thanks for posting those Andy, the difference is stunning – the lighting and the amount of detail you have bought out is amazing.
Maybe we all have some hidden, stunning images sitting on our hard drives just waiting to be given the right post processing 🙂
…………If only we knew where to start and end!

Hi Crystal thanks. I’m sure everybody has loads of photos that with right processing will become masterpieces, that’s what my business does, I help photographers reveal their individual vision. Andy

These remind me of the work of Alfred Horsley Hinton. You are a master at capturing and presenting light.

Hi Stephen thanks Alfred is a name a vaguely know so will look him up. It’s said that amateurs worry about equipment, professionals worry about the money and masters seek the light, we poor jobbing photographers also like to get paid as well as getting the light! Andy
