Marvellous Monochrome talk at Dorchester Camera Club

Exmouth shelter 2Please look at the picture full size against a grey background.

I will be giving a talk called “Marvellous Monochrome” at Dorchester Camera Club on Monday the 3rd Dec at 7.30 see

www.dorchestercameraclub.co.uk/section518272.html

The talk demonstrates how to edit a colour file and make a digital monochrome print that has the look, taste and smell of a fibre based darkroom paper.

I like the mood and the mystery with this snap above called “Shelter man”. All my usual photographic culprits have been used here a 20mm lens at f1.8, taken at twilight, active use of the edges and Lith processing in Lightroom 4.

A big hello to all the new followers of my little blog this week.

  1. That is a beautiful shot, I do enjoy shots that look like they have been processed in the dark room, I think that’s why i enjoy Silver Efex pro so much, it gives you that sort of feeling.
